A recent video shared on social media is drawing massive attention for capturing a rather unexpected moment between a tourist and two gorillas during a gorilla visit in Bwindi Impenetrable Park of Uganda. Posted by the Instagram page Mountain Gorillas, the clip has quickly gone viral, with users online calling it nothing short of a ‘jungle soap opera’.
Gorilla seen tugging woman’s hair
In the video, a woman is seen crouched near a group of gorillas as part of a travel group. While she remains still, one of the gorillas suddenly reaches out and pulls her hair, leaving her visibly surprised. Those around her react with a mix of laughter and shock, while the woman herself starts laughing moments later.
Another gorilla steps in immediately
Before the moment escalates, another gorilla– believed to be female– quickly appears on screen. She approaches the scene, slaps the gorilla responsible for pulling the woman’s hair, and drags him away from the group. The interaction lasts only a few seconds, but has been enough to spark a wave of reactions online.
users even framed it as a corrective gesture. “That’s not just a jealous look, that’s ‘discipline’,” said one comment.
Another read, “She said ‘don’t embarrass me in public.’”
The responses continued in a similar tone: “My girlfriend… no, she is my girlfriend,” and “The wife was asking, ‘Why are you teasing strange women?’”
Clip labeled ‘relatable’ by viewers
Several people in the comments said they could surprisingly relate to the situation. The short video has been getting more views and reactions, mainly because of how real and familiar the animal’s behaviour felt.
It’s now one of the most shared clips online in recent days, giving people a quick but memorable look at how animals interact, something that reminded many of everyday human situations.
